January temperature 1895-2010

The average temperature in January 2010 was 31.09 F. This was 0.28 F warmer than the 1901-2000 (20th century) average, the 62nd warmest January in 116 years. The temperature trend for the period of record (1895 to present) is 0.1 degrees Fahrenheit per decade.

 

And the recent 12 Month period (Feb-Jan) 1895-2010.

This year, 2009/2010 (Feb-Jan), the temperature is a little bit cooler than 1901 The difference is a 0.21 F. It was a quarter of a degree warmer 109 years ago.

And the recent 6 Month period (Aug-Jan) 1895-2010.

This year, 2009/2010 (Aug-Jan), the temperature is cooler than 1901 . The difference is a 1.33 F. It was a one and a third of a degree warmer 109 years ago

This is Florida where the TREND IS –0.10 F/Decade

The average temperature in January 2010 was 52.9 F. This was -5.6 F cooler than the 1901-2000 (20th century) average, the 10th coolest January in 116 years.

This year, 2009/2010 (Feb-Jan), the temperature is much cooler than in 1895 or 1898.  1895 it was 5.90 F WARMER than this year. 1898 it was 7.20 F WARMER than this year.

This is Texas where the TREND IS –0.11 F/Decade

The average temperature in January 2010 was 44.3 F. This was -2.0 F cooler than the 1901-2000 (20th century) average, the 29th coolest January in 116 years.

This year, 2009/2010 (Feb-Jan), the temperature is much cooler than in 1895 or 1898.  1895 it was 1.40 F WARMER than this year. 1898 it was 5 F WARMER than this year.
