Climate Gate – All the manipulations and lies revealed 170

A British survey of 28.000 public owned buildings and their carbon emissions found that the worst “offenders” where Hospitals, Prisons, Police stations, Parliament, Museums and Galleries.

So in light off that, to “save the planet” and to make the Global Warming Hysterics happy it’s all very simple really:

Just release ALL prisoners and close ALL police stations so that the criminals can rein free. Likewise, stop ALL medical treatment of ALL humans so we can save SOME CO2 emissions.

Close the Parliament down and fire ALL politicians. At least this way they are forced to live up to their own Global Warming Hysteria.

And for Gods sake close immediately ALL museums and art galleries.  We have to save the world from CO2 you know.

Wouldn’t that be a “nice” world to live in??

I mean who needs law and order, medicine, politicians (this one is very tempting), culture and art.

But remember, we “saved” some CO2 emissions so that makes it all worth it.

The most comprehensive survey yet of 28,000 buildings in public ownership found almost 14 millions of carbon dioxide were emitted in a year, with New Scotland Yard, the Tate Modern and the Palace of Westminster among some of the worst. The total emissions were a 27 per cent increase on previous estimates of the impact of the public estate.

The survey found that eight of the 10 worst buildings were hospitals, the worst being the Royal London in Whitechapel which emitted 46,218 tonnes in a year.

The worst prisons were The Grove young offenders institute on Portland in Dorset and Pentonville prison in London which both emitted more than 16,500 tonnes a year.

Paul King, chief executive of the UK Green Building Council told The Guardian: ”Our public building stock is leaking like a sieve, with an enormous carbon footprint and energy bills to match.

”Government as the biggest user and procurer of buildings in the UK, needs to lead by example and roll out a massive programme of refurbishment. We have the technology and we know this can be done cost-effectively, we just need to get on with it.”

The Metropolitan police headquarters emitted almost 13,500 tonnes of carbon dioxide a year making it the most polluting police station in England and Wales. Other famous buildings that were guilty offenders according to statistics released under the Freedom of Information Act, included the National Gallery which emits 8,472 tonnes and the British Museum which emits 10,181 tonnes.

The Prison Service said it was spending £4.5 million in an attempt to cut three per cent a year off emissions in the next five years, while the Department of Health’s sustainability unit said work was ongoing in an attempt to cut emissions from hospitals.

Ed Miliband, the climate change secretary, has set government departments a target of a 30 per cent reduction in estate and operations emissions by 2020 from 1999 levels.
